Traveling opens up a world of new experiences, offering glimpses into the diverse landscapes, cultures, and hidden gems that make each place unique. In this blog post, I invite you to join me on a visual journey as we explore some of the most captivating spots I've recently visited. Each photo tells a story, capturing moments that are as fleeting as they are beautiful. Let’s dive in and wander through these snapshots of my travels.
Gala Muduna Temple - Badulla

A very beautiful place that I visited with my family is the Gala Muduna Temple. Sri Sambuddhaloka Viharaya or Gala Muduna Temple is situated in a small village called Kahataruppa in Badulla district. It is located at a distance of 20 km from Badulla town. The specialty of this temple is that it is located on a big rock. From there visitors can observe an amazing view. Especially when you go to the top of the temple rock, you can see Kohonawala village, which receives the least amount of sunlight in Sri Lanka, as well as Madolsima, Matigaha plain and Pitimaruwa. So this is the most beautiful place in Badulla.
Nine Arch Bridge
This is another beautiful place that I really enjoyed. This is the nine-arch bridge. This bridge is also known as Demodara Bridge. It is a beautiful stone bridge in Ella area of Sri Lanka. This bridge has become famous because of its beautiful safety name. This bridge is part of the railway line between Ella and Demodara. It has attracted the attention of tourists and popular photographers due to its beautiful surroundings. This is another beautiful trip I went with my friends.
Mahamevnawa Buddhist Monastery - Ella

Mahamevna Asapuwa is a temple located in Karadagolla area near Ella town. The monastery is decorated with impressive carvings, frescoes and paintings. Here we are able to talk freely with the monks. A very quiet temple with a peaceful environment, this temple is a famous paradise among the people. This beautiful paradise that I visited can be described as a place that calms the mind and makes me want to go again.
Little Adams' Peak

Another beautiful historical temple is Dova Parvata Vihara or Dova Raja Maha Vihara. It is a heritage-listed rock temple in Sri Lanka located in the central hills of Uva Province. It is adjacent to Doa, a small village on the Badulla-Bandarawela main road north of Bandarawela. A very quiet environment. The temple is famous for its large 12 m (38 ft) high unfinished Buddha image, which is carved into the vertical granite rockface.
Here are some memories of my travels and some photos I took.
